Dewar's 15 Year Old is a blended Scotch created by master blender Stephanie Macleod. The whisky is matured in sherry and bourbon casks, then blended and returned to specially selected oak casks to marry, which brings greater smoothness and a longer finish.
It is known as The Monarch, after Sir Edwin Landseer's 1851 painting The Monarch of the Glen, which John Dewar and Sons bought in 1916.
The notes run to honey and golden toffee, rich exotic fruit with coconut and vanilla, citrus and green apple, and delicate floral aromas. The finish is smooth, long and warming.
