Dewar's 18 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made from malt and grain whiskies that have each been aged for at least 18 years, drawing on malts from the five distilleries in the Dewar's portfolio.
The blend is then returned to vintage oak casks for a second marrying period, the double ageing on which the Dewar's style is built.
The nose is creamy and rich with fruit, marzipan, dark chocolate and heather honey. The palate is full and rounded, with honey, almond, vanilla cream, butterscotch, dried fruit and dark chocolate in a silky body. The finish is long, with rich oak beneath honeyed sweetness.
