Dewar's Caribbean Smooth is an 8-year-old blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the first expression in Dewar's cask-finishing series, launched in 2019 under Master Blender Stephanie Macleod.
The blend uses up to 40 single malt and grain whiskies, each aged at least 8 years and double-aged, then finished in ex-Caribbean rum casks.
The nose is brown sugar, caramel and tropical fruit over apple and biscuity cereal. The palate is honeyed, with pineapple, coconut and soft spice. The finish is smooth and lingering, with the rum cask coming through last.
