Dewar's Double Double 21 Year Old Finished in Mizunara Oak Casks (37.5cl, 46%)

A 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Dewar's, bottled at 46% in a 37.5cl bottle. It is the Mizunara oak edition of the Double Double series, created by master blender Stephanie Macleod. The malt and grain whiskies are aged separately for 21 years, then blended and married a second time in oak. A final finish of up to a year in Japanese Mizunara oak casks completes the four-stage process. In the tasting notes, lime zest and grapefruit peel meet sandalwood on the nose. The palate offers tropical banana, candied ginger, coconut and green apple with a glossy oak texture, and the finish carries zested lemon and white chocolate.
