Dewar's Double Double 32 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 37.5cl bottle, finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
It was created by Stephanie MacLeod, the seventh master blender at Dewar's, who revived the four-stage ageing process devised in 1901 by A.J. Cameron, creator of the White Label blend. In this process the whiskies are married in cask several times, to bring better balance and a smoother mouthfeel.
It is described as having rich, ripe treacle notes with a hint of smokiness.
