Dewar's White Label is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is built around malt from the Aberfeldy distillery in the Highlands.
Up to 40 individual whiskies go into the blend, which is then returned to oak casks for a further six months. This double-ageing step is one Dewar's pioneered.
In the tasting notes, honey and vanilla lead on the nose, with ripe pear and a thread of smoke. The palate is soft and mildly sweet, with honeyed malt, citrus and gentle oak, and the finish is moderately long and warming, ending with light oak and a whisper of smoke.
