An aged rum from Colombia, blended from rums aged 25-35 years. It is made from first-press sugar cane juice, distilled in an antique copper alembic, and aged in bourbon casks, Jerez sherry butts and port casks.
The nose has roasted honey, Colombian coffee, mature oak and vanilla. The palate shows spices, allspice, oak, toffee and a little vanilla, with balance between smoky and classic rum notes. The finish is very long, with a light sweetness complementing the cask notes.
It is a stronger expression than Platinum, which has a lighter style.
