Diplomático 2013 Single Vintage is a Venezuelan dark rum aged for 10 years. It comes from select reserves matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-whiskey casks, and is released as a single vintage from the Barinas region.
Bottled at 43%, it has a nose of brown sugar, vanilla custard, dark chocolate, toasted almonds and baking spices. The palate is full-bodied, with caramelised sugar, dried fruits, coffee bean, oak vanilla and honeyed dessert notes. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, espresso, sweet tobacco and gentle spice.
