Doc Holliday 13 Year Armagnac Cask Finish is a straight bourbon bottled at cask strength, 54% (108 proof), in a 750ml bottle. It is a limited edition that pays homage to the frontier figure Doc Holliday.
The bourbon spent 13 years in charred American oak before moving into Armagnac casks for finishing, which added fruit, warm spice and a little French oak character. It was released in numbered batches.
The nose offers dried figs, Armagnac-soaked raisins, caramel and toasted oak. On the palate come rich vanilla, dark cherries and baking spice, with hints of leather and pipe tobacco. The finish is full and lingering.
