This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Doc Holliday range, a tribute to the gunfighter and doctor John Henry 'Doc' Holliday. It is a limited single-barrel edition bottled at 54% ABV.
The bourbon was distilled in Kentucky and aged for 13 years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which gives the sherry influence a central place in the character.
The nose offers red berries and cherry tarts with aged leather and brownie batter. On the palate come rye bread spice and white peppercorn, smooth vanilla, juicy berries, dried cherries and earthy tobacco. The finish is long, with dried oak, dry leather and a hint of berries and cream, ending dry.
