This is a 23 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Doc Holliday, a single barrel release bottled at 48% ABV (96 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is a Straight Flush Release, made from stocks distilled in Frankfort, Kentucky, and matured in double oak.
The Doc Holliday name honours the frontier gambler and gunslinger of the American West.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, dark fruit compote, baking spices and leather. The palate has deep caramel sweetness, vanilla custard, dried cherries, cinnamon bark, roasted almonds and tobacco leaf. The finish is long, with oak tannins, dark chocolate and warm spice.
