This is a 23-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Doc Holliday, bottled as a single barrel at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It belongs to the brand's Straight Flush Release, and the brand takes its name from the frontier gambler and gunslinger. After 23 years of ageing, the bourbon went through a second oak maturation, which adds structure and spice. Because it is a single barrel, each bottle reflects the character of its own barrel. The nose offers caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, dark fruit, baking spice and leather. The palate brings caramel, vanilla custard, dried cherry, cinnamon, roasted almond and tobacco leaf. The finish is long, with oak tannin, dark chocolate and warm spice.
