A straight bourbon from Doc Swinson, bottled at 47.9% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whiskey is distilled by MGP.
It is made from bourbons no younger than 5 years old. Each is finished separately in Cognac puncheons and Sherry butts, then the whiskies are married together in large Cognac foudres.
The spicy character of new American oak stays clear, with added richness and deeper, rounder notes from the secondary maturation. It is not overly sweet.
