Doc Swinson's 'Alter Ego' is a straight rye whiskey from Washington, finished in rum casks and made using the Solera method. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV and sold in a 75cl bottle.
The nose brings warm spices, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate the rye character is joined by caramel, spice and oak, with some sweetness from the rum cask finish, leading to a smooth, lingering finish.
