Doc Swinson's Fruit Odyssey is a straight bourbon from the Exploratory Cask Series, bottled by a small independent finisher in Washington State. The base is a blend of two high-rye MGP mash bills, with 36% and 21% rye, aged for six years in American white oak with a number 4 alligator char.
It then spends three to four months in 228-litre ex-Ruby Port casks, which add red and dark fruit to the bourbon.
The distillery's own notes list raspberry, white peach and plum, honey and toast.
