Domaine de Bel-Air Brouilly Briante 2018

This Brouilly comes from the Briante vineyard, covering 6.5 hectares, close to the Pisse Vieille vineyard. Planting density is very high at 10,000 vines per hectare, and the vines average 50 years of age, reducing yield per vine while concentrating the must. After hand-picking, the clusters are sorted on arrival and fermented in closed steel tanks using semi-carbonic Beaujolais technique. Before bottling, the wine matures for 8 months in a combination of steel tanks and large oak casks (foudre).
