Dominus Estate 2004 Napa Valley (75cl)

Dominus Estate 2004 is a red wine from the Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley. It is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot, aged in barrels of which 40% were new, and bottled in August 2006. The growing season was short and warm, with an early budbreak after a March heat wave and the earliest harvest on record for the estate, running from 31 August to 26 September. Deep red in colour, it has an intense nose of vanilla, blackcurrant and cedar. The palate shows tannins and fruit closely knit, with warm mulled spice at the centre, and the long finish carries leather and cardamom.
