Dominus Estate 2014 Napa Valley (75cl)

Dominus Estate 2014 is a red wine from the Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley. It is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot, matured with 40% new barrels and bottled in July 2016. The vintage followed a very dry early winter, with heavy rain in February, March and April. Temperatures ran above the historical average, with brief heat spikes in June and July and none in August or September. Harvest ran from 2 to 30 September. On the nose there are cardamom and forest floor aromas. The palate shows deep blue fruit and silky tannins in focused layers, leading to a long finish.
