Donnafugata Ben Ryé Grappa (50cl)

Ben Ryé is a Sicilian grappa from Donnafugata, distilled from the pomace left after making the Ben Ryé wine from zibibbo grapes grown on the island of Pantelleria. The pomace is still rich in aroma and goes straight into a discontinuous pot still heated in a bain-marie, to keep the aromatic character of the grape. The spirit then rests in small oak casks. It is sold in a 50cl bottle in a presentation box. It is intense yellow with golden highlights. The nose shows citrus, peach, apricot and exotic fruit. The palate is soft and rounded, with fresh and syrupy fruit, citrus and vanilla, and the finish is long, ending on vanilla.
