Donnafugata Sul Vulcano is a Sicilian rosé from the Etna DOC, made from Nerello Mascalese grown on the eastern slope of the volcano. The vines sit on volcanic soil with a good organic content.
The grapes are picked by hand towards the start of October into small crates, with careful selection of the best fruit.
The nose offers delicate wisteria with plum, raspberry and pink grapefruit. The palate is lean and lively, marked by freshness and fine minerality. It pairs with raw shellfish, vegetarian dishes, fresh cheeses, mildly spiced Asian food and white meats.
