This is the 2026 Día de los Muertos release in the Dos Artes Calavera series: the brand's Doble Barrica extra añejo tequila in a 1 litre hand-painted ceramic calavera decanter.
It is made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in Arandas, in the Highlands of Jalisco. The agave is cooked in an autoclave, crushed by roller mill, fermented naturally and double distilled in a pot still under Master Distiller León Bañuelos. The producer states it is additive free.
"Doble Barrica" refers to maturation of at least 36 months in brand-new French and American oak barrels. The tequila pours bright golden with light amber tones.
