A dark rum from Williams & Humbert, originating from Barbados and Guyana. It spends five years maturing in the Caribbean in oak casks that previously held bourbon, then a further three years in Spain in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry. The nose shows cooked fruit, vanilla, honey, raisin and date notes. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with dark chocolate, nutmeg and light spice, leading to a long, pleasantly persistent finish.
