Double Eagle Very Rare is a 20 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, in its 2025 release. It was aged in new charred oak barrels and bottled at 45% ABV.
It comes in a crystal decanter with two sculpted eagles, one inside the bottle and one on the stopper, and in an illuminated silver display case. Each bottle is individually numbered.
The nose shows toasted oak, vanilla bean, caramel and dried fig. The palate brings dark chocolate, toffee, baked apple and nutmeg, with a hint of leather and aged tobacco. The finish is very long and warming, with sweet oak and light spice.
