Double Barrel is a blended malt from Douglas Laing that marries a Bowmore from Islay with a Highland Park from Orkney. Each of the two malts comes from a single refill hogshead, and the whisky is bottled at 46% without added colouring and without chill-filtration.
It is a limited bottling in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers ripe fruit, sweet vanilla fudge and a touch of spice. On the palate come toffee, citrus and a gentle note of smoke. The finish is long and dry, with traces of oak and cocoa.
