Douglas Laing Strathearn (50%)

Strathearn is a Highland single malt from one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, bottled by Douglas Laing. This batch is drawn from 32 casks and matured in three types of oak: ex-bourbon, virgin and ex-sherry. Two thirds of the batch is between 6 and 8 years old, and the remaining third was distilled by Douglas Laing after it took over the distillery. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. Strathearn stands on the edge of Perth in Highland Perthshire. It still uses Maris Otter malt, ferments for 144 hours and sets its cut points by taste, as the still has no spirit safe.
