Douglas Laing The Epicurean Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

The Epicurean is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, made as a marriage of Lowland malts. It is presented as a 1930s Glasgow character, a lover of fine food and drink, and is intended for cocktail hour or for sipping. It is a blend of 100% malt whisky, fresh, zesty and grassy. Ginger ale, cloudy apple juice or soda are suggested for long serves. The nose is barley-rich, citric, floral and herbal. The palate is sweet, with crunched sugar, burnt citrus, mixed spices, thyme, peaches and candy. The finish returns to herbal notes, with almonds, cut grass and burnt sugar.
