Timorous Beastie is the Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing & Company, and this Sherried Edition is 24 years old, in a 75cl bottle. As the name suggests, ex-sherry casks play a heavy part in the blend.
The nose brings toffee and dried fruits with nutmeg, allspice and a soft touch of oak. The palate is thick, oily and spicy, with clove, allspice, cardamom and nutmeg over caramel and toffee. The finish is long and dry, with lingering spices and touches of dried fruit.
