Timorous Beastie 24 Year Old is a Highland blended malt from the independent bottler Douglas Laing. It brings together Highland single malts including Blair Athol, Dalmore, Glen Garioch and Glengoyne, matured for 24 years in ex-sherry casks with ex-bourbon alongside.
This Sherried Edition is bottled at 46.8% ABV, without added colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is toffee and dried fruit with nutmeg, allspice and a soft touch of oak. The palate is thick, oily and spicy, with clove, allspice, cardamom and nutmeg over caramel and toffee. The sherry casks add milk chocolate, cigar box and fresh strawberries.
