Ruadh Maor is a single cask Glenturret bottled by Dràm Mòr at 12 years old. The spirit was distilled in 2011 and finished in a first fill bourbon hogshead before bottling in 2023. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.4% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The outturn was 272 bottles.
The nose is smoke of the real fire kind rather than peat. The palate is sweet and smoky, savoury and reminiscent of good bacon. The finish is simple, with delicate wood smoke and a hint of sharpness balanced by sweet spices.
