First-fill Pedro Ximenez hogshead finish
A 13 year old single malt from Tomintoul in Speyside, bottled by Dràm Mòr at a cask strength of 56.1%. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2024 after a finish in a first-fill Pedro Ximenez hogshead. The outturn is 218 bottles, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The finish in cask was a short one, so the Tomintoul spirit has not been overwhelmed. The nose is classic sherry, with dried fruits and dark Demerara sugars. The palate is juicy, warming and gentle, and the finish brings darker charred oak, drier than the palate suggests.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
