Drappier Carte d'Or Brut Champagne (75cl)

Carte d'Or is the signature non-vintage Brut of Champagne Drappier, a Pinot Noir-led blend from the Côte des Bar. The house itself calls it almost a blanc de noirs. Five per cent of the cuvée spends a year in barrels, which adds texture, and the wine is bottled unfiltered with a dosage of 7g/l. The nose offers melon and apple with a touch of red fruits. On the palate it is intense and full-bodied, with apple, quince and grape under a red-fruit veil, and a long finish with a pleasing texture from the oak-aged portion.
