Drappier Grande Sendrée Champagne (1.5L)

Drappier Grande Sendrée is a vintage Champagne, here in a 150cl magnum. It is made only in years of particular note, from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in the chalky, ash-rich soils of Urville that give the cuvée its name. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed gently in a traditional press dating from 1903. Fermentation takes place in old oak vessels, followed by a long maturation in bottle. It is bright gold in the glass. The nose offers ripe white fruit, floral notes, a hint of spice and a mineral thread. On the palate come peach, apple and citrus, with fresh acidity and a creamy mousse leading to a long finish.
