Drumshanbo Marsala Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 43%)

Drumshanbo Marsala Cask is a triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey from The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The mash uses malted and unmalted Irish barley with Irish Barra oats. Rather than a short finish, it spent its full seven years, in cask since 2017, in Sicilian Marsala wine casks. It is non-chill filtered and has no colour added. The distillery's notes describe clove and honey on the nose with sun-ripened fruit and toasty caramel, then dried fruits and hazelnuts on the palate with polished oak spice, and a finish of spiced caramel, roasted hazelnut and raisin.
