Duck Club High Brass Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 55%)

A blend of straight Kentucky bourbons from Duck Club Bourbon, the brand co-founded by Riley Green, bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof). It is named for the high-brass shotgun shells duck hunters use when they want more punch. The recipe is printed on the label: 80 percent bourbon aged five years or more, from a mash of 75 percent corn, 13 percent rye and 12 percent malted barley, plus 10 percent aged eight years or more and 10 percent aged nine years or more, both from 75 percent corn, 15 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. Rye and cardamom spice sit over dark caramel, molasses and toasted grain, with charred oak, orange peel and leather. The palate has brown butter toffee, black pepper and dark fruit. The finish is long and warm.
