Duncan Taylor Octave Tullibardine 10 Year Old 2013 (70cl, 52.4%)

This is a Tullibardine single malt from Duncan Taylor's Octave range, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 10 years old. It spent its final four months in an ex-sherry octave, a cask of roughly 60 litres. It is bottled at a cask strength of 52.4%, with natural colour and no chill filtration, from a single cask that gave 88 bottles. Before the octave, the whisky was oily and peppery, with lavender, cocoa and pancakes with cream. Afterwards the notes turn to toffee apple, candied ginger, sweet sherry, toasted oak and plum jam.
