Dunville's 1808 is a blended Irish whiskey, suited to drinking neat, alongside a pint, or with a mixer or in a cocktail.
The nose opens with sweet vanilla, then orchard fruit, apples and pears, followed by lemon curd and candied lemon peel over clean malt. The palate is soft, creamy and buttery, with ripe citrus and baked biscuit, arriving at fresh lemon meringue before a touch of char and white pepper.
The finish carries slight dry smoke woven through juicier fruit, ending in sweet spice.
