Dunville's PX 10 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey from Echlinville Distillery in County Down, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in Bourbon barrels and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which brings the dried-fruit sweetness of PX alongside orchard fruit and malt.
The nose has apricot, grapefruit and toasted almonds with green apple, apple tart, caramel and dark fruit compote. The palate opens with green apple, soft orchard fruits and fruit sorbet, then raisins, figs, stewed dates, sweet malt, marzipan and candied orange.
The finish is clean and lingering, with vanilla, dried tropical fruit, clove, oak spice and persistent PX sherry notes.
