Eagle Rare 12 Year Old is a bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, aged a minimum of twelve years in new charred American oak in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is a permanent addition to the range, announced in June 2025, with a higher proof than the ten-year-old expression.
Twelve years in oak deepens the familiar Eagle Rare profile, with sweet oak and almond on the nose and vanilla, toasted oak and warm toffee across the palate. The finish is long and warming.
It is made from the distillery's low-rye Mashbill #1 and bottled at 47.5% ABV.
