Eagle Rare 1978 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (175cl)

This is a 1978 bottling of Eagle Rare Kentucky straight bourbon in a 1.75 litre bottle. It comes with its original swing cradle, a frame that holds the bottle so it can be tilted to pour, and the bottle has a pouring spout built into it. Eagle Rare was introduced in 1975 by the Charles L. Beam family for Seagram, so this bottle dates from the first few years of the label. It was made long before the brand moved to Buffalo Trace and became the 10-year single barrel sold today. As a vintage bottle, the fill level, label, closure, spout and frame show the age of the period.
