Early Times Kentucky Whiskey is a double distilled American whiskey, bottled at 40% ABV in a 20cl bottle.
The mashbill is 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley, and the whiskey is aged for a minimum of three years. It is matured in both new charred oak and previously used oak barrels, which is why it cannot be labelled bourbon under US rules.
The nose is soft and sweet, with corn, brown sugar, delicate oak and vanilla. The palate adds herbal spice, cinnamon and a little cocoa, and the finish is soft and warm with sweet corn and light caramel.
