Edradour Distillery Edition 10 Year Old is a Highland single malt made at Edradour in Pitlochry, Perthshire, and bottled at 40%. It spent ten years in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, and it is chill-filtered.
Edradour is a traditional farm distillery with small copper stills, run since 2002 by Signatory Vintage. The two cask types balance dried fruit and almond against honeyed spice.
Dried fruit, Oloroso sherry and almonds lead the nose. The palate has spiced Christmas cake, golden syrup and honeyed almonds with a rich mouthfeel. The finish is mellow and warming, with oak and soft spices.
