Elements of Islay Beach Bonfire is a limited edition blended malt made from whisky from two Islay distilleries, in a 700ml bottle. The Head Blender took inspiration from a beach bonfire on Islay: the colours, the heady smoke and the flames meeting the sand.
The whisky was matured in new oak, bourbon, refill and sherry casks. It is a powerful Islay malt with a herbaceous character, bonfire ember smoke and a sweet spice finish.
The nose combines oyster shells and bonfire smoke with baking spices, cherry and tarragon. The palate has bourbon-soaked Amarena cherries, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger in wood smoke, with some medicinal peat. The finish is warm and long, with wood fire, soft brown sugar and gingerbread spice.
