Elements of Islay Sherry Cask is a blended malt from Elixir Distillers, bottled at 54.5% ABV. The series draws on whiskies from active and some closed Islay distilleries, aiming to show the medicinal, peaty and maritime side of island malt.
This expression is matured in first fill and refill sherry butts and hogsheads. It joins Islay single malt from the south coast with single malt from the north coast.
The southern malt brings dried fruit and dark chocolate aromas, while the northern malt adds spicy, maritime notes and lemon oil.
