Elena Vermouth di Torino Rosso Superiore RAV 18 (75cl)

Elena is a Vermouth di Torino Rosso Superiore from Piedmont, made on a base of two wines: 33% Barolo Ravera from the Ravera vineyard on the hill of Novello, and 67% Roero Arneis. Herbs and botanicals macerated in alcohol are added to the wine. Gentian and absinthe from the Alpine valleys of Cuneo province are central, alongside citron peel from Lake Maggiore, chinotto from Savona, rhubarb, cloves and vanilla from Polynesia. It is made by a 'one-shot' process, in which the botanicals and extracts are infused and macerated only once to bring out their full intensity and aroma.
