Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye is bottled at 47% ABV and is the brand's first extra-aged Kentucky Straight Rye. It comes from Heaven Hill in Nelson County, Kentucky, a distillery founded in 1788 that also makes Evan Williams and Old Fitzgerald. The mash bill is 51% rye, where the brand's small batch bourbon uses mostly corn. The nose is dark chocolate with spice and a touch of smoke. The palate has rich baking spices and honey with smooth oak, and the finish is long and lingering.
