Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky bourbon produced by Heaven Hill and bottled at 94 proof. It is a blend of barrels between 8 and 12 years old, with up to 200 barrels going into each batch. The name recalls Reverend Elijah Craig, often credited as the first to age whiskey in charred new oak barrels.
The nose brings vanilla bean, fresh mint, sweet fruit and burnished caramel, with a little oak spice and a hint of smoke. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth, led by roasted corn, baking spices, sweet oak and nutmeg. The finish is long, with toasty oak, cinnamon warmth and dried fruit.
