Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey (47%)

Elijah Craig Straight Rye was launched in January 2020 as the first straight rye under the Elijah Craig name. It is distilled and matured in Kentucky by Heaven Hill and bottled at 47% ABV. The mash bill is 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley, which gives a spiced rye balanced by corn sweetness. The nose combines caramel, vanilla, gentle citrus peel and floral rye spice. On the palate, lemon zest and cardamom lead to caramel, butterscotch and hints of banana bread. The finish is medium in length, clean and dry, with a gentle pepper warmth, mild oak tannins and a trace of tobacco leaf.
