This is a Veteran's Day limited edition of Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel, a small batch bourbon bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is finished in custom-toasted new oak barrels.
The bottle is deeply etched and hand-painted with a Veteran's Day tribute, showing the American flag and silhouettes of saluting soldiers. The release honours US military service.
The nose is sweet vanilla, toasted oak and caramelised sugar with a touch of smoke. On the palate it is full-bodied, with baking spice, dark chocolate and roasted marshmallow sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with oak, cinnamon and a smooth sweetness.
