Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at 47% (94 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
Fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch bourbon is finished in custom-toasted new oak barrels, made from white oak air-dried for 18 months. The toasting was developed with Independent Stave Company, starting with a medium-low flame and ending with a flash char.
The nose brings caramel, toasted oak, burnt marshmallow and baked apple. The palate is sweet, with dark sugar, baking spice, black pepper and milk chocolate. The finish is medium-long, with cocoa, caramel and gentle oak tannin.
