Elvis The King is a straight rye whiskey made as a tribute to Elvis Presley, bottled at 45% (90 proof). It is matured in freshly charred American white oak casks, which give it a deep amber colour.
The mash holds a high proportion of rye, and the profile balances fiery spice, sweetness and firm oak. The label shows Elvis Presley in one of his well-known poses.
Rye, vanilla, toasted oak and a trace of white pepper show on the nose. Nutmeg, clove, ripe apple and a little caramel follow, ending in a long, dry, warming finish with oak spice and gentle smoke.
